The Challenge

Diapulse, a long-standing brand in the medical device industry, had built trust over the years but suffered from outdated visual branding. The original logo was overly complex and difficult to adapt across different media. The website and software lacked distinctiveness, and the broader brand system had no cohesive visual language.

The Solution

To reposition Diapulse while honoring its legacy, I led a full-scale rebrand that modernized the brand’s visual presence without losing its roots. A refreshed logo that balances heritage and modernity. I created a new logo that introduces a clean, custom wordmark paired with a flexible logo mark. While this system brings the identity in line with today’s design standards, it also respects Diapulse’s heritage by preserving brand equity: I retained the brand’s original color palette to maintain recognition and continuity with long-time users and customers. I reinterpreted the iconic "pulses" from the original logo into a simplified, modern motif—bringing a sense of rhythm and movement while ensuring scalability across print, digital, and product surfaces. I also implemented a cohesive visual identity system:
To unify the brand, I built a comprehensive visual toolkit that includes:
-
A refined medical-tech color palette
-
Modern, legible typography for clinical and marketing use
-
A consistent visual language across brochures, IFUs, business cards, and exhibit materials
-
Brand usage guidelines to maintain consistency in external and internal communications
Product & Hardware Integration
I collaborated with the product development team to finalize color selections for the physical device and to determine strategic logo placements. This ensured that the visual identity extends from screen to shelf and aligns with the brand’s new standards.
Digital Experience Design (In Progress)
I’m currently leading the UI/UX design for the Diapulse device software, which will be used by healthcare professionals in clinical settings. The software is being designed for intuitive interaction, fast learning curves, and a clean interface that mirrors the new brand direction.
